The same positions.
None of the work.

Congress, the largest hedge funds on earth and senior cabinet officials see market-moving information first — and the law forces them to publish every position they take.

Our AI engine reads every filing the moment it lands and mirrors those positions into your own brokerage account, scaled to your balance.

01 — Who files
These are the best-informed participants in the market. The law makes them publish.
iCongress

Committee members see the inputs to entire sectors before the market does — hearings before the minutes are public, federal contracts before they are awarded, regulation before it is drafted. Their trading has been studied for two decades, and it is the reason the STOCK Act exists.

iiHedge funds

The largest managers on earth employ hundreds of analysts, buy datasets nobody else can afford, and take positions large enough to move a stock on their own. Every US equity position they hold is published quarterly, in full, by law.

iiiThe cabinet

Senior executive branch officials sit upstream of policy itself. They too must file every transaction publicly. Almost nobody outside a newsroom ever reads them.

ivWhy it is public

None of this is leaked, hacked or bought. It is disclosed because Congress decided that people with this much information access should not be able to trade in private. The filings exist to be read. Contrail reads them.

02 — The engine

From filing to position,
in minutes.

A disclosure arrives as a scanned PDF on a government portal built in the 1990s. No alert, no feed, no standard format. Hundreds land every month across three separate regimes. This is the part Contrail automates.

Ingest
Every source, around the clock
Congressional, institutional and executive-branch filings monitored continuously. The moment a document appears, the engine has it.
Read
Documents never built to be read by machines
Scanned pages, inconsistent formats, handwritten amendments, amount bands instead of figures. The engine extracts a clean, structured transaction from documents that were never designed for this.
Analyse
Read in context, not in isolation
Each position is cross-referenced against the filer’s existing holdings, prior activity, committee assignments and sector exposure — so it is understood as part of the whole book.
Construct
Sized to you, and only you
The engine converts that position into an order matched to your balance and your parameters — what you have allocated, what you follow, and the limits you set. No two accounts receive an identical instruction.
Execute
Inside your own brokerage
The order is placed in the account you already own. Approve each one, or let it run. Every fill appears in the Flight Deck and on your broker’s own statement.
03 — What you do

You never have to
learn to trade.

No charts. No screeners. No day trading. No reading a forty-page disclosure at midnight. The research has already been done by people with better information than you will ever have.

01

Connect your brokerage

Link the account you already have — Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood and others. Contrail is granted permission to place trades and nothing else. It cannot withdraw, transfer or move a single dollar.

02

Set your parameters

Choose which trails to follow, how much to allocate to each, and the limits you want applied. The engine sizes every position to those settings automatically.

03

Then nothing

When a filing lands, your account takes the position, scaled to you. Approve each trade or let it run. Cancel whenever you like and keep everything.

04 — The sources

Three disclosure regimes.
Read continuously.

Every filing below is mandatory, public and free. What is scarce is reading all of it, the day it appears, and turning it into a position before it is stale.

SourceWhat it contains
Congress
STOCK Act · PTR
Individual transactions with dates and amount bands, covering members, spouses and dependent children. The most granular disclosure available anywhere in the market.
Institutional
SEC · Form 13F
The complete US equity book of every manager above the reporting threshold — full holdings, position sizes and quarter-over-quarter changes.
Executive
OGE · 278e / 278-T
Cabinet officials and senior appointees file annual holdings and periodic transaction reports. Public, mandatory, and read by almost nobody.

Contrail is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any person or entity whose public filings appear on the platform.

05 — Control

Your account.
Your name.
Your keys.

You are not sending money to a fund. You are not opening an account with us. Everything happens inside the brokerage account you already own.

Custody
Your cash and securities remain at your own broker, in an account you opened, in your name. Contrail never takes custody of client assets.
Permissions
The connection grants order entry only. No withdrawal rights. No transfer rights. Revoke it from your broker at any time, without contacting us.
Visibility
Every position, every fill, every fee — visible in the Flight Deck and in your broker’s own statement. Two independent records that must agree.
Exit
Cancel at any time. Your positions and your money stay exactly where they are. Nothing is locked, nothing is held.
